IPTV Ottawa: English and French TV in One Subscription

A Bilingual Line-up for a Bilingual City

Ottawa lives in English and French, and so does the channel list. Québec channels such as TVA, RDS, RDS2 are in every plan next to CBC, CTV, Global and Citytv, so a household can watch the news in one language and sports in the other without a second package.

Support answers by email in English and French, and the service works the same on the Gatineau side of the river.

Parliament Hill News, Around the Clock

CBC News Network, CTV News Channel and Global News cover Parliament Hill, Queen's Park and the rest of the country all day. In a city where a lot of people work in or around government, the news channels are often the ones that stay on.

Senators and Redblacks in English or French

TSN 1–5 and Sportsnet, with Sportsnet One and Sportsnet 360, carry the NHL and CFL in English, and RDS and RDS2 cover sports in French. All of them are in every plan, next to NFL Network, NBA TV Canada and beIN Sports Canada.

Coverage of each Senators or Redblacks game depends on the broadcaster; the TV guide in your app shows times and channels.

Kanata, Orléans, Barrhaven and Beyond

The service runs over your home internet, whether it comes from Bell, Rogers, TekSavvy or another provider, so it works the same downtown, in the suburbs and out in the rural townships. About 25 Mbps per screen is enough for HD and 50 Mbps for 4K.

A plan for 2, 3 or 4 devices lets several TVs play at once for $29, $39 or $49 CAD a month. Nothing is tied to your address, which helps with a posting elsewhere or a student move to uOttawa or Carleton.
